Hoffman Cortes General Contracting Division recently completed work on two, 6,500-square-foot buildings in the Parkway Plaza retail and office complex at 13000 Briar St. in Leawood, Kan. The work included all site development including paving, utilities, curb, gutter, and sidewalks, as well as wood-framed tile roofs, glass, stone and stucco veneer.

Hoffman Cortes took over as the construction management team from another general contractor that went out of business. Our team stepped in with a prepared transition plan including requalification of all the trade contractors. With the important but time-consuming qualification process complete, Hoffman Cortes was able to move forward and complete the project in a timely fashion.

At present, nearly 100 percent of the space is leased in the completed buildings with two more buildings in the planning stages.
